On Friday, Rep. TJ Cox (CA-21) in collaboration with Bakersfield College, spoke at the “HEAL Rural Poverty and Health Equity Summit,” an event focusing on advancing health equity and well-being for California's Central Valley communities.

“This summit is about forging new connections with advocates, researchers, community members, and policy makers, as we share best practices and opportunities for collaboration. I look forward to these discussions and hearing what more we can do collectively to make a meaningful impact. I’m going to take those perspectives back to Washington as we work in the House to craft legislation that addresses these vital issues like health equity, clean air, substance use disorder, and rural healthcare access,” said Rep. TJ Cox.
