On Monday March 16th, Rep. TJ Cox hosted a Telephone Town Hall to update Central Valley residents on the spread of coronavirus across the country. Joining him was Dr. Rais Vohra, Fresno County Interim Health Officer and public health expert in the Central Valley, who answered numerous questions from Central Valley residents about how to protect themselves and their families from coronavirus. Rep. Cox also shared what Congress is doing to provide communities with the resources they need to weather the storm.

8,796 people listened in to the call either over the phone or streaming live at Cox.House.Gov.

Rep. Cox will continue to update California's 21st Congressional District on the Central Valley Coronavirus Information Center on his website.

“Clearly, the Central Valley has important questions on the coronavirus and I'm glad Dr. Vohra and I were able to provide some important information, and hopefully some reassurance, in the middle of a very challenging time in American history," said Rep. Cox.

"I'm glad to say we're working with every level of government, vouching for small cities that need more resources and pushing Governor Newsom and the White House to provide badly needed assistance, especially to rural Central Valley communities. This is a serious situation but we will get through this if we all work together.”
