Rep. TJ Cox Welcomes Funding From the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to address Environmental Health

Rep. TJ Cox (CA-21) issued the following statement after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced it will be providing $30,000 via Environmental Justice Small Grants Program to the Community Services Employment Training (CSET) Agency in Visalia. 

Visalia CSET ($30,000) - Will support projects that educate residents about environmental health, help collect data about local environmental conditions, and collaboratively address environmental justice challenges in local communities. 

“I would like to congratulate the Community Services Employment Training agency on receiving a grant under the Environmental Justice Small Grants Program administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency”, said Rep. Cox “The work CSET does to assist communities to reach self-reliance through innovative pathways is a vital resource for the Central Valley. I applaud you for investing in the youth of Allensworth and Alpaugh and helping them fully realize their potential as the environmental leaders of tomorrow. I look forward to bearing witness to the improvements that will come to these communities as a result of this project.
