Representative TJ Cox Announces Over $8.9 Million for the Kings County Area Public Transit Agency from CARES Act

Press Release

Today, Representative TJ Cox announced that the Kings County Area Public Transit Agency (KCAPTA) will receive an award of $8,932,310 in CARES Act funds from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). KCAPTA is the public transportation provider serving residents throughout Kings County. This important funding will help KCAPTA cover operating and preventive maintenance costs in order to respond to and recover from COVID-19.

“I worked hard with my colleagues in Congress to ensure that the CARES Act would provide funding to public resources in the Central Valley, and I’m proud to announce that some of that funding is being provided to KCAPTA,” said Rep. Cox. “I will continue to ensure that the funding allocated by the CARES Act gets to the areas in the Central Valley that need it most.”
